About onemillion.earth

In 2005, a student named Alex Tew sold a million pixels at $1 each to fund his university tuition. The Million Dollar Homepage became a piece of internet history — and it's still online today, exactly as he left it.

onemillion.earth is the climate version. 50,000 tiles. $20 each. One million dollars of verified climate finance — and a permanent record of everyone who helped make it happen.

How it works

01

Choose an impact category

Pick from five independently certified categories — Nature, Ocean, Community, Technology, or Mixed Portfolio. Each directs your funding to a verified project in that area. We're transparent about whether each is carbon removal or emissions avoidance. No euphemisms.

02

Decide how many tiles

Each tile is $20 of verified climate finance, with a $4 platform fee added transparently ($24 total). Select as many tiles as you like. No hidden charges.

03

Your name joins the canvas

Your name appears at unique hex coordinates on the canvas. You receive a certificate confirming the credit has been permanently retired in a public registry — with your exact tile position included. The canvas updates within moments of purchase.

A permanent record

When the campaign reaches $1,000,000, the canvas closes. But it doesn't go away.

Every name, every tile, every coordinate stays visible — indefinitely. Your contribution to climate action is verifiable in a public registry, and your place on this canvas is permanent. A record, not a receipt.

We will keep this page online long after the final tile is claimed.

Tiles are filling.

There are 50,000 tiles. Once they're claimed, they're gone. Every tile sold is a name permanently on the canvas and verified climate finance in the registry.
